𝙰𝚗𝚜𝚌𝚑𝚕𝚞𝚜𝚜 (Anschluss or Anschluß) (which translates to annexation or connection) is a running gag in the Polandball universe used to describe a countryball becoming a rectangle with small eyes (the "Anschluss eyes") before proceeding to invade and/or annex another countryball. The gag is also used in mapping.

Historically, it refers to the Nazi annexation of Austriaball in 1938. The most common example of this is Germanyball becoming Reichtangle. However, "Anschluss" can also describe a countryball with dominance in a particular skill.

Countryballs usually say "Anschluss" in a typewriter font like Courier New. The phrase is infrequently followed by Zeit (meaning "time").

Anschlussed countryballs don't die. Anschlussed countryballs are wrapped somewhere inside the body of the countryball that Anschlussed them. From time to time, these countryballs revolt from inside the body to gain freedom, or they are rescued by another countryball that infiltrated the body of whoever captured them. The countrytangle regresses to its standard form when that happens. This process is known as Balkanization.

There are Anschluss forms for other countries, though not all are necessarily rectangles; some, like Tringapore, become pyramids or cones. Others, like Kazakhbrick and NepalRawr, become sawruses and squares, respectively. Also, Israelcube, because of Jewish physics, becomes a four-dimensional tesseract, the only such countryball that breaks the rule of countryballs being higher than three-dimensional. Anschluss forms are the few exceptions to the rule against countryballs not being any other shapes than a ball. Some countryballs have more than one Anschluss form, notably Chileball, who can turn into a worm.

Then, it will turn Peruball into a protectorateball, who will then invade the Central American countryballs to create the puppet state of Central Americaball. Then, the Anschluss of Equatorial Guineaball might result in African Unionball becoming African Uniontangle and Argentinatangle easily defeating them because of its whiteness. After this, it will Anschluss UKball to be full European and join EUball, but NATOball will defend UKball, resulting in Argentinatangle removing the NATOball members.
•  Armeniaball - Grows up and begins to reunite with Artsakhball and Javakhetiball. It will also attack Azerbaijanball, some part of Iranball, Iraqball, Israelcube, Palestineball, Lebanonball, Syriaball, and some part of Türkiyeball, it Will revenge to Pakistanball for not recognising it. But it might want to watch out for this guy.
•  Austriaball - Becomes another kingdom and Anschlusses South Tyrolball and Czechiaball, making Hasburgtangle stronk.
•  Australiaball - Becomes Commonwealth of Australiatangle and Anschlusses all of the Pacific islands, allies with New Zealandball, Indonesiaball, and Papua New Guineaball.
•  Bahamasball - Annexes Turks and Caicosball to make Greater Bahamasball, making lots of tourist monies and the richest countryball in the Caribbean.
•  Belarusball - Ukraineball is attacked for hating Russiaball. Wow, nice prediction. Russiaball. and GBEtangle unite to form Soviet Uniontangle.
•  Bosniaball - Becomes the Republic of Bosnia and unites with Croatiaball to become a valuable NATO state. Goes to war with Serbiaball for apparent reasons. Albania and Kosovo will become true allies with Bosnia. It soon gains momentum to become a far-right state known as the Federation of Bosnia, a form that removes Serbs. The Croats revert into Ustase, dragging Bosnia with it.
•  Brazilball - becomes Huetangle and hues its way to victory. Anschlusses all of South America and probably Panamaball and Costa Ricaball.
