Tokyoball ~~Ghoulball Pokemonball~~ is a metropolis and one of the 47 prefectures of Japanball. Tokyo means "Eastern capital" in Japanese. He is the most populated metropolitan area in the world with over 38 million people (Greater Tokyoball Area). About 13.9 million people live in the metropolis alone. It is mostly a concrete jungle with many big and tall buildings, although there is a singer who calls him "a desert". However, there are also several big parks with nature.

Comparatively, New York Cityball has a population of 8.4 million (2018). If you only count the metropolis, Shanghaiball is larger than him, and Chongqingball would be the largest cityball in the world.

He owns two baseball teams: the Yomiuri Giants and the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. However, the Giants, with their home ground famous as Tokyo Dome, is so far well-known as his baseball team that many people, even if they do know the Swallows as a team, don't know they are also a team owned by him.

Although his image in Japanball is that he has some of the most dangerous downtown areas in the Kawaii mom, such as Shibuya Center and Kabukicho, he is considered to be the Safest City in the world!

History

Tokyoball was born as a little fishing village called Edo in 1457 CE. Since 1603, it has been the de facto capital of Japanball, because the Tokugawaball Shogun (military dictator) lived there.

During their shogunate, he often suffered from severe fire, but every time it struck him, he became even more powerful, making him one of the largeest cities in the world ever since the 18th century.

In 1868 the Emperor of Japan regained control of the country so he moved the capital from Kyotoball to Edo and renamed it Tokyo.

In modern days after he became Tokyoball, he suffered from huge earthquakes in 1923 and 2011, as well as the bombings in 1945, but he once again became more powerful by rebuilding himself, sometimes with a help from other prefectureballs, which resulted in weakening them.

He hosted the Summer Olympics in 1964 and was supposed to do it again in 2020, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19. He welcomed ("omotenashi"ed) the world in 2021 (however the games will still be branded as Tokyo 2020).

In February 2021, the Burmese community started a protest against the Myanmar coup, with over 4,000 people attending the protest, making it the largest protest in Japanball.
