Chūbuball is a regionball of Japanball. Chubu is made up of many prefectures, right in the center of Japanball, between Kyotoball and Tokyoball.

The prefectures of Chubu are Aichiball, Gifuball, Ishikawaball, Naganoball, Niigataball, Shizuokaball, Toyamaball and Yamanashiball.

Chubu is made up of three other important sub-regions: Tokai, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean; Hokuriku on the coast of the Sea of Japan and Koshin'etsu in the remaining area.

The region is the widest part of Honshu (Japanese main island) and the central part is characterized by high, rugged mountains. The Japanese Alps divide the country into the Pacific side, which is sunny in winter, and the Sea of Japan side, which is snowy in winter.

The Chubu region has the most mountainous areas in Japan, including Mount Fuji and Nagoya, the country's fourth-largest city.

The dialect spoken in the region (mainly Nagoya), has the characteristics of both dialects spoken in Kansaiball and Kantoball while having its own distinctive accent. Akira Toriyama (the creator of Dragon Ball) was born in this region, so he sometimes uses the dialect of the region in his works. Equivalent to West Coast accents in American English.

The population of the Chubu region is around 22 million.
