Many people say Rio de Janeiroball is the capital cityball; however, that's not true since 1960. Brasíliaball hates it when people thinks Rio de Janeiroball is the capital, which was the capital of Brazilball from its independence until 1960.

On r/polandball it is a square instead of a ball, due it's rectangular shape.

History

Brasiliaball didn't even exist in the tribal times in Brazilball, but it was as born as 3ball, and soon later Kingdom of Portugalball came along and colonized Brasíliaball, but soon later in 1822, Brazilian Empireball declared independence from Portugalball, the monarchy was officially overthrown and Brazilball was turned into a republic. The capital of Brazilball was transferred from Rio de Janeiroball to Brasíliaball on April 21, 1960 and its new territory, split off from Goiásball state in border with the Minas Geraisball state, became the current Federal Districtball. After the transfer the old Federal District, containing the city of Rio de Janeiroball, became the state of Guanabaraball. This state existed from 1960 until 1975 when it merged with the state of Rio de Janeiroball. With the merge the capital of Rio de Janeiroball state was transferred back from Niteróiball to Rio de Janeiroball itself (as it had been until 1834 when the empire created the Neutral Municipality). He is a federal district, it is rich, friendly and he is into pizza and capitalism. Sometimes it can get a bit fiscal and becomes a cube.
