Greensboroball is the third largest city in North Carolinaball, USAball, also being the largest in the Piedmont Triad metropolitan area.

At the 2020 census, its population was 299,035; at the 2022 census estimate, its population was 301,115.

History

Early History

Greensboroball was born as a  3ball, before being anschlussed by  British Empireball. After being a colony under the British, Greensboroball joined the fledgling USAball.

In 1861, Greensboroball joined the Confederacyball, but they soon rejoined the  USAball.

Modern History

Greensboro Massacre

On November 3, 1979, members of what would become the Communist Workers Party (CWP) held an anti Ku Klux Klan rally. After KKK members and Neo-Nazis arrived, violence occurred with 5 CWP members being killed and 11 getting injured.

Trivia

Greensboroball is not home to any top-level professional sports teams. The National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes moved to Raleighball from Hartfordball in 1997, but the team played its first two seasons at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex while its home arena, Raleighball's Entertainment & Sports Arena, was under construction.
