Gokturk Khaganateball (552 AD - 744 AD) otherwise Romanized as Empire of Göktürkball, was a khanate established by the Ashina clan of the Göktürks in medieval Inner Asia. It also contributed to the spread of the Turkicballs, which were eventually subjugated by  Tangball in 630 (its western half lasted until 657). It was reborn in 682 (as II.Gokturks) and lasted until 744.

Despite popular belief, isn't the ancestor of all Turkicballs, but the was the first to use the name 'Turk'

History

Origin

Gokturkball was ruled by the Ashina clan, who were first mentioned in 439, and initially lived in Northern Liangball.

After the death of Northern Liangball, Gokturkball migrated to the Altai mountains and became vassals of Rouran Khaganateball.
