Ammonball was an ancient kingdom located in present-day Jordanball, occupying the east of the Jordan River. Its capital was Rabbath Ammonball, but this was actually just the ancient name for Ammanball, the capital of Jordanball.
Just like Moabite and Edomite, the Ammonite language is considered by some to be just a dialect of Hebrew, but officially, Ammonite, just like Moabite and Edomite, is its own language. The Ammonites were descendants of Ammon, son of Lot.
History
Ammonball was established possibly around 1400 BC or even earlier. Most of what we know about Ammonball's early history comes from the Bible. Ammonball was often at war with Kingdom of Israelcube and its successor states, but during the reign of King David, Ammonball was subjugated under Kingdom of Israelcube.
Ammonball avoided being conquered by Neo-Assyriaball, but it had to pay tribute to the Assyrian king. During the time of Neo-Babyloniaball, Ammonball flourished, as did the entire region. It likely retained independence even in the Achaemenid period. In 332 BC, the region was overran by Macedonball and that is often considered the end of the Ammonite state.
