County of Provence is one of the old provinceballs of Franceball, in the southeast part of the country. It is currently situated in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azurball. The main city is Aixball.
History
County of Provenceball started when Kingdom of Provenceball was sold to Upper Burgundyball, becoming Kingdom of Burgundyball, but it did not have much power in the new territories, so County of Provenceball was born.
In 1125, it was divided between County of Toulouseball and County of Barcelonaball, the later ruling the region since 1112.
After 1246, the County was ruled by the Angevin branch of the Capetian dynasty and after 1382, the House of Valois-Anjou.
In 1480, Good King René died, and it passed to Charles IV, count of Maineball, but died a year after, passing all his territories to Kingdom of Franceball.
