Twipra Kingdomball, (Sanskrit: Tripura, Anglicized: Tippera) was a historical countryball and later a princely state under the 
British Rajball in Northeast 
India. The kingdom reached its height in the 16th century. It fended off invasions from 
kebab countryballs such as Bengal Sultanateball and 
Mughalball.
In 1809, Tripura became a British protectorate and remained in a subsidiary alliance until 1947, from which it was released by the Indian Independence Act 1947. The state acceded to the newly independent Indian Unionball on 13 August 1947, and subsequently merged into the Indian Union in October 1949.
