Baku Governorateball was a governorateball of 
Russian Empireball, created after Russian Empireball defeated Persiaball and took its Caucasian clay. His clay included much of what is now the Eastern clay of Azerbaijanball.
History
In 1806, Russian Empireball defeated Persiaball and took clay from him, including the former Baku Khanateball. But it was several decades before Russian Empireball decided to make it an official governorate in the empire, creating Shemakha Governorateball in 1846. Things were fine until its capitalball Shemakha was broken by an earthquake in 1859. In that same year, Russian Empireball moved the capital to Bakuball, and renamed him into Baku Governorateball. Later on in 1868, Russian Empireball took some of Baku Governorateball's clay to help create Elisabethpol Governorateball.
Tiflis Governorateball was home to many ethnicities, including Azeri Tatarballs, Russiaballs, Tatballs, and Armeniaballs, who mostly got along until Russian Empireball collapsed in 1917 and Transcaucasiaball took over for a few months. After it fell apart, DR Azerbaijanball was created and was into independence for a few years.
