Luwuball was a coastal Libyan UWUstani Indonesian Bugis kingdom (now part of District) on the island of Celebes. It reached its peak between 1000 and 1520. The first ruler we get info about is Dewaraja(ruled 1494-1520). We know that he aggressively attacked Kingdom of Wajoball and Soppeng Sultanateball. After Dewaraja's death in 1520, the state began to decline. It allied with the rising Sultanate of Makassarball. Two of its tributary states, Posoball and Una-Unaball, was conquered by the Sultanate of Ternateball sometime in the 1570's. In February 1605, it became the first state in Sulawesi to adopt Islam. For some reason, the bustling city of Malangkeball was abandoned in 1620 for Palopoball. Shortly after, the state erupted into a civil war after a succession crisis and it was invaded and conquered by the powerful Sultanate of Makassarball and remained that way until their fall in 1667. It then became a vassal of Bone Kingdomball until the middle of the 18th century. The weak, fragile state was conquered by the Dutch in 1906. After the Indonesian was of Independence and the fall of Kingdom, He transformed into a district. In 2006, Palopoball came to independent municipality at 2006 which was split into city.
