Hammadidball, also known as the Hammadid Emirateball or the Kingdom of Bejaiaball, was a medieval Islamic kingdomball located in the central Maghreb, encompassing present-day 
Algeriaball.
History
It was established at the beginning of the 11th century when Hammadidball declared itself independent from 
Ziridball, thus splitting the Zirid domains into two separate dynasties. The emirate briefly became the most important state in the Maghreb from 1062 to 1088 and reached its greatest territorial extent, stretching from 
Tlemcenball in the west to 
Tunisball in the east, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the desert oasis of Ouargla and Oued Righ in the south. While they briefly controlled 
Fezball in the west and cities like Sfaxball, Kairouanball and .png){kind=icon}
Tripoliball to the east.
The 
Hammadids would subsequently clash with the 
Almoravids in the west and the Zirids in the east. With the weakened Hammadids, 
Kingdom of Sicilyball rose up to confront the Hammadids for the domination of Ifriqiya (modern-day Tunisiaball). The Hammadids would face another challenge on their western borders with the growing force of the 
Almohad Caliphate, and their emirate would finally be annexed by the Almohads in 1152 after a brief clash with them.
