I think I'm starting to understand anarchy, as a libertarian, and I can say Anarchists are our edgy brothers. But the question is, is direct democracy always involved?

You don't neccicarily have to view Anarchism as violent chaos. The Amish are a famous example because they're the biggest anarchist society and they get along perfectly fine with simple and happy lives
