Opinions of People
Like:
- Jesus (100/100) - My moral guide.
- Luis Emilio Recabarren (99/100) - A great communist theorist and defender of the rights of the people. He is someone that I would have liked to see as president.
- Pedro Aguirre Cerda (90/100) - Possibly the most decent president in the history of Chile, you improved education on a large scale, you helped take in refugees from the Spanish Civil War, and in general you modernized and industrialized the country on a large scale. The only thing I don't like about you is your friendship with the Nazis, but I can forgive that with all the great advances you made. As you said yourself in your motto, "To govern is to educate."
- Lautaro (95/100) - The legendary Mapuche warrior who fought against the tyrannical Spanish Empire to maintain the sovereignty of the Mapuche people. Simply based.
- Raúl Alfonsín (80/100) - You ended the genocidal dictatorships in Argentina and paved the way for a democratic country. You also tried and convicted criminals from dictatorships in court and helped prevent war with Chile, for which you have my respects. Although you should have managed the economy better.
- José Mujica (100/100) - Possibly the best president in Latin America in recent years. He improved the economy, promoted many social plans, and made Uruguay the most developed country in South America, apart from the fact that it is quite humble and was never seduced by corruption. An example to follow.
- Jorge Eliécer Gaitán (100/100) - A great man, he defended the rights of workers and the poor, and wanted to turn Colombia into a developed and democratic country. Too bad they murdered him, this man had the potential to save Colombia from violence and crime.
- Juan José Arévalo (99/100) - A good president, reformed the Guatemalan state, granting rights to the working class, and paved the way for the rise of Árbenz.
- Jacobo Árbenz (100/100) - Possibly one of the best presidents in the history of Latin America, to say that it was good would be to say little. He gave rights to workers and indigenous people, redistributed the lands of the United Fruit Company to peasants, increased literacy and education, improved the living conditions of Guatemalans, and had great plans to modernize the country. Unfortunately, the CIA pigs would overthrow him and put in dictatorships that would ruin Guatemala, thus throwing the advances of Arévalo and Árbenz into the trash. It's a shame, Árbenz did not deserve to be overthrown, but we will always remember you, soldier of the people.
- Frederick Douglass (100/100) - This man is the definition of being based, he fought against slavery in the United States and influenced Lincoln to abolish slavery. Basically this man is responsible for the abolition of slavery.
- Martin Luther King

Neutral:
- Salvador Allende (70/100) - I'm not going to deny that you had very good intentions, since you were always a firm defender of democracy and you only wanted the best for Chile, and I admire that a lot. However, you should have allied yourself with the Christian Democrats, instead of distancing them, since with them you would have managed to make a majority government, and you would have made the opposition lose support. You should also have managed the economy better (although here the opposition is also to blame for organizing truck stoppages), and you should have better organize your agrarian reform, since even though if you took land away from corrupt people who did not use it, it was also You took land from normal farmers who did cultivate their land, and you left them with no way to survive. Your government would have worked better if you had made alliances with the Christian Democrats and if you managed the economy and agrarian reform in a better way. Although I will not deny that you made great achievements, such as free vacations or improving workers' rights. Either way, I'd rather you than Pinochet shit.
- Patricio Aylwin (65/100) - First you supported the coup against Allende, and if it weren't for the support that the Christian Democrats gave to the coup leaders, Allende would surely never have been overthrown. However, later you realized your mistake and led the opposition against the evil Pinochet regime, and if it weren't for you, we might not have recovered democracy. Already as president, you did not solve many of the problems that the country had, but in a certain part I can understand it, since Pinochet had the power to destroy the nascent democracy if he wanted to. It's funny, but you are partly responsible for both the rise and fall of Pinochet.
- Evo Morales (69/100) - You ended the era of white oligarchic governments in Bolivia and brought economic progress to Bolivia, but with the passing of time the power ended up skewing you and you became an authoritarian president. I wouldn't say that you were a 100% good president, but you were the best thing that happened to Bolivia for a long time. Oh, and one more thing, stop asking Chile to give you back the sea, that will never happen, NEVER!
- Rafael Correa (70/100) - Basically the same as Evo Morales.
- Subcomandante Marcos (65/100) - He supported their fight for the rights of indigenous peoples in Chiapas and their fight against neoliberalism, but I do not support their violent methods of armed struggle. I also do not like anarchism, although I would say that you are one of the few decent anarchists.
- John F. Kennedy (65/100) - You contributed to the expansion of Anti-Communism in the world and you had imperialist plans for Cuba, but despite that, you were one of the most decent American presidents of the Cold War, and you had plans to end the Vietnam War. Too bad the secret services murdered you.
- John Paul II (55/100) - You turned the Catholic Church into a conservative right-wing organization and you were extremely anti-communist, apart from the fact that when you visited Chile you turned a blind eye to the human rights violations that Pinochet was committing. However, thank you for avoiding a war between Chile and Argentina, you saved us from a bloody event.
