History

Gherweb was always into Polandball. He was introduced to Polandball by No Idea Animations as a child and watched his and Art's Animation's videos. Later, he kept up with Kaliningrad General.

Gherweb started posting art in countryballs.net In the year 2021. After a few artworks he gave up.

He tried his hand at making comics again in 2023. He was more successful but posted 2 comics before being bored and starved of ideas. He left again.

Very recently, this year, he decided to participate in the Polandball fandom in a different way. He started to edit the Polandball wiki and participate in the community tab. He will (not) be returning to countryballs.net with better art sometime.

On another note, Gherweb made a country in a subamateur NRP named Rule a Country named (gasp) Gherweb. That is the origin of the "GHerweb" name, which I got from the romanization of the Persian word for "sunset". It ended after being banned for join leaving repeatedly after being parittioned. It came back ~4 months later but after ~2 months it was partitioned again and nuked and Ghewreb was banned for spam=DMIng the partitioners.

Why the beret?

Gherweb (in Rule a Country) was known for militarism and was almsot constantly at war, to the point that it won the award for "most wars".

Drawing Gherweb is easy:

1. Draw a ball.
2. Draw a thin yellow line (1 pixel wide) across the ball horizontally
3. Repeat, but vertically.
4. Fill the upper-left part with red.
5. Fill the lower-right part with sky blue.
6. Fill the other parts with gold.
7. You have finished drawing Gherweb!
