My family history: On my father's side I am a direct descendant of one of the first 500 Europeans in Canada(I know his name but I want to remain an anonymous Canadian). He came from Dijon, Burgundy, France and moved to Ville-Marie(Montreal) in 1662. He worked as a blacksmith and fought the Dutch-backed Iroquois in 1663 as a part of the militia. He married one of the Filles du Roi au Chateau-Richer in 1665, where he built his own house(350 years later one of his descendants still lives there, but he has porn on the wall).
Much later one of his descendants is born in 1938 in La Tuque. His father dies in a car crash so he grows up in an orphanage. He makes his own company and marries an Anglophone. He has 4 kids, 3 daughters and one son, that son is my father. His wife has English, Welsh, French and Native roots.
On my mother's side: A German in Austria fought for the Nazis in the second world war in Yugoslavia, Greece and Romania(he died here against the Soviets). His children would move where one of them married a Hungarian refuge fleeing the Soviet invasion. They had one son and one daughter, that daughter is my mother.
