History
In the 18th Century, the cityball became capital of 
Travancoreball Princely State. When Travancoreball chose to join 
Indiaball, Thiruvananthapuramball became the capital of File:Tiru-Cochin-icon.png Travancore-Cochinball from 1 July 1949 until 31 October 1956. When Keralaball formed on 1 November 1956.Thiruvananthapuramball became the capital.
