    Stereotypes are a critical component of any Polandball comic. They are the attributes each country possesses for comedic effect. These stereotypes can range from subtle to blunt, meta to deadpan, and completely non-offensive to "holy-shit-2-edgy-4-me" offensive.

    One of the most seen stereotypes in Polandball is "Poland cannot Into space".

    Countryball Stereotypes[edit | edit source]

    These are stereotypes used in Polandball for specific countryballs.

    • Albania-icon.png Albaniaball: Usually wears kebab hats, and doesn't like Slavs-icon.png Slavs, especially hating Serbia-icon.png Serbiaball.
    • Argentina-icon.png Argentinaball: Portrayed often as wanting to be white-skinned or European. Doesn't have good relations with UK-icon.png UKball.
    • Australia-icon.png Australiaball: Shown as always wild and drinks lots of beer. He is considered to be weak (because he lost a fight against Emus).
    • Austria-icon.png Austriaball: Often portrayed as an experimental, possibly insane psychologist, but mostly a doctor.
    • Bosnia-icon.png Bosnia and Herzegovinaball: Often is a kebab and is a dedicated kebab defender, usually hates Serbia-icon.png Serbiaball. It still wants more coastline.
    • Brazil-icon.png Brazilball: Constantly in a state of laughter, specifically the laugh "HUE". Loves coffee.
    • Bulgaria-icon.png Bulgariaball: Created yogurt and always wants to defend yogurt, its food.
    • Canada-icon.png Canadaball: Portrayed in a friendly and sometimes gentle state, only occasionally stepping out of this demeanor. A common vocabulary word is "eh". Can also be obsessed with clubbing seals. It always apologizes for everything it does. It also loves (maybe even smells like) maple syrup.
    • China-icon.png Chinaball: Portrayed as Maoist, oversized, smoggy, wise, and aggressively claiming neighboring territories. Also, in some comics, it is seen eating, cooking, or having a dead body of đŸ¶ a dog/dogs.
    • DR Congo-icon.png DR Congoball: Portrayed as a doctor, due to its' full name Democratic Republic (DR) of Congo. Also hates Belgium-icon.png Belgiumball for the genocide they never apologized for.
    • Croatia-icon.png Croatiaball: Sometimes portrayed as having a bitter hatred for Serbia-icon.png Serbiaball.
    • Cuba-icon.png Cubaball: Portrayed as a very Communism-icon.png Communist state.
    • Cyprus-icon.png Cyprusball: Almost always is split in half/disputed and usually hates Turkey-icon.png Turkeyball.
    • Czech-icon.png Czechiaball: Loves beer, slav, and space. Has very good relations with Slovakia-icon.png Slovakiaball.
    • Denmark-icon.png Denmarkball: Loves very much lego, as he was the inventor.
    • Ecuador-icon.png Ecuadorball: Always subject to volcanic and tectonic activity.
    • Eritrea-icon.png Eritreaball: Considered to be "the North Korea-icon.png North Koreaball of Africa".
    • Estonia-icon.png Estoniaball: Often portrayed as wanting to become Nordic instead of Baltic, and in love with Finland-icon.png Finlandball (largely for this reason).
    • Ethiopia-icon.png Ethiopiaball: The only African country to not become colonized by Europeans, and doesn't like Eritrea-icon.png his evil sibling, Somalia-icon.png kebabs or Italy-icon.png his fascist enemy. It also usually has a BIG ego, and portrayed as a peanut shape linked to his famine.
    • Finland-icon.png Finlandball: Portrayed as drunk, depressed, and overall in a very dark and deadly atmosphere. Occasionally has more silly attributes involving Nokia phones and similar technologies.
    • France-icon.png Franceball: Often portrayed as snobby over its culture (or anything else, really). A common stereotype is that it surrenders easily to others, even in common and non-violent ordeals. Loves its bread, the baguette. Also likes to protest all the time.
    • Germany-icon.png Germanyball: Portrayed often as a hard and enjoyable worker, hates breaks, and often intent on establishing a ReichTime.png fourth reich. It also keeps bringing up Greece-icon.png Greeceball's debts. It never laughs and is always serious and straightforward.
    • Greece-icon.png Greeceball: Constantly debt-ridden, often due to German bonds. This is often portrayed as due to recklessly lavish spending on things like race cars, or simply burning it.
    • Iceland-icon.png Icelandball - Portrayed as "powerful" and strong. Also throws UK into the abyss and stabs Ireland.
    • India-icon.png Indiaball: Either portrayed as a tech support scammer, Islamophobic, poor, or a 🐼 cow worshipper. It also really hates Pakistan-icon.png Pakistanball.
    • Ireland-icon.png Irelandball - Loves potatoes and has millions of them in its house.
    • Italy-icon.png Italyball: Portrayed often as corrupt. Is always late for work.
    • Japan-icon.png Japanball: Often portrayed as "Kawaii", or in a state of lament over its Japanese-Empire-icon.png dead empire. Likes to take pictures of other countries, especially landmarks. Often inventing new tech stuff and sometimes portrayed as a pervert. Sometimes, it is portrayed as a đŸ± cat. It also likes to read hentai.
    • Latvia-icon.png Latviaball: Often portrayed as it is in classic Latvian Jokes, i.e. "cannot into potato", "deported to gulag", "working hard". Also portrayed as a former Nazi-icon.png Nazi that occasionally breaks out into pro-N[azi sentiment
    • Morocco-icon.png Moroccoball: Often portrayed as a patriotic and charismatic cool country who fights (with the help of his friends) for the justice in his clay,but his neighbour countries hates him and always try to ruin its reputation.
    • Mexico-icon.png Mexicoball: Often portrayed as attempting to break into USA-icon.png USAball's land, often via fence-jumping. It is also portrayed using a sombrero most of the time.
    • Nepal-icon.png NepalRawr: Mostly portrayed as a fierce monster due to its flag shape, but actually has a soft and tender heart and loves the nature. RAWR!
    • New Zealand-icon.png New Zealandball: Often thought of as the "home" of Lord of the Rings, despite UKball being the actual home of J. R. R. Tolkien.
    • Nigeria-icon.png Nigeriaball: Just like India-icon.png Indiaball, it scams people, but instead, on the internet via e-mails with variations of the "Nigerian Prince Scam".
    • Norway-icon.png Norwayball: Shown as rich and owning many things such as race cars, because of its' #1 HDI and AAA investment rate.
    • Philippines-icon.png Philippinesball: Like many other countries surrounding the Far East, Philippines-icon.png Philippinesball is portrayed as hating the countries surrounding it. What makes it unique in this way is how childishly butthurt it gets in reaction. It also does this to himself very often.
    • Poland-icon.png Polandball: "Cannot into space". The most central core of the Polandball meme. Often also portrayed as a plumber or holding a plunger, which is based off the stereotype of Polish immigrants.
    • Portugal-icon.png Portugalball: Portrayed as a sailor, and very occasionally as Germany-icon.png Germanyball's beach towel.
    • Romania-icon.png Romaniaball: Portayed as wanting to remove Gypsy-icon.png gypsies and Hungary-icon.png Hungaryball. It is also often portrayed as a vampire (In a reference to Dracula, the most famous vampire, being a Romanian and also Transylvania being located in Romania which is a film about vampires.
    • Russia-icon.png Russiaball: There are a variety of stereotypes commonly associated with him. Among these are being very dark and deadly, in a constantly drunk state, being able to "into space", and constantly invading other nations. Don't forget the vodka! Also don't forget its very well-known catchphrase: "that is classified, comrade."
    • Serbia-icon.png Serbiaball: Often portrayed as a bare stereotype of "REMOVE KEBAB". This means wanting to murder neighbors that are Islamic, mainly Bosnia-icon.png Bosnia and Herzegovinaball and Turkey-icon.png Turkeyball.
    • Somalia-icon.png Somaliaball: Acts like a pirate, steals and raids everything. It also defends kebab from Ethiopia-icon.png Ethiopiaball, and with its Afghan-icon.png Pakistan-icon.png Iraq-icon.png Syria-icon.png Libya-icon.png all its Islamic immigration friends to annoy Sweden-icon.png Swedenball.
    • South Korea-icon.png South Koreaball: Portrayed as being a massive fan of K-pop and StarCraft, and has a fear of mechanical fans.
    • Spain-icon.png Spainball: Portrayed often as in distress from separatism.
    • Sweden-icon.png Swedenball: "Börk" being a common phrase (see: Terminology). Owns IKEA. Creates gaming software (i.e. Minecraft). Is Nordic and is against Estonia joining.
    • Switzerland-icon.png Switzerlandball: Often portrayed as a doctor, due to the cross on his skin. Also often portrayed as rich from the reception of Nazi-icon.png Nazi-obtained money/other possibly illegal money. Of course, we cannot forget the stereotype of sitting on the fence.
    • Ukraine-icon.png Ukraineball: Portrayed as a very fast thief of pigs. This especially enrages its neighbors Belarus-icon.png Belarusball and Poland-icon.png Polandball. Also, they're kinda going through an invasion right now with Russia-icon.png Russiaball.
    • UK-icon.png UKball: Portrayed often in an overly fancy style, and carrying a British Empire-icon.png dead empire. Sometimes talks about its glory days as a vast empire. Tea and SPACE are very important and also top hat and monocle. It is also portrayed as very, very polite and uses bloody, mate, innit, chap, bruv, etc. in its conversations.
    • USA-icon.png USAball: There are many stereotypes often attributed to the it. Amongst these usually involve being fat, being ignorant of other countries, and being bossy (in both cool and arrogant ways).
    • Vietnam-icon.png Vietnamball: Portrayed as having a bitter hatred of China-icon.png Chinaball and being Communism-icon.png Communist.
    • Zimbabwe-icon.png Zimbabweball: Always in a constant state of deflation and poverty, and prices thing way too high.
