    Sombrero Galaxy-icon.png Sombrerospiral, also known as M104spiral or NGC 4594spiral, is a spiral galaxy in the Virgo Cluster. It has a big dust ring around its edge.

    History

    Sombrero Galaxy-icon.png Sombrerospiral was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781. William Herschel, the person who discovered Uranus-icon.png Uranusball, discovered Sombrero Galaxy-icon.png Sombrerospiral in 1784. In 1921, it was found that Charles Messier had written about Sombrero Galaxy-icon.png Sombrerospiral, who was linked up with NGC 4594spiral and added to the Messier Catalogue as M104spiral.
