Socialist Burmaball was

Myanmarball during its socialist phase. Its official name is the Socialist Republic of Burmaball and was also known as the Burmese Way to Socialism.

The Union of Burmaball was thrown out after the 1962 coup, and Socialist Burmaball, the Burmese Way to Socialism, replaced it. The military took power and the country was lead under Ne Win. Many things were banned and restricted and this had a big impact on the Burmese economy. The people of Myanmarball did not like this, so the 8888 Uprising took place and threw out the military government, and the Union of Myanmarball came to power.
