Sevilleball is a cityball in Spainball

    Description

Sevilleball is a Spanish city, municipality , and the capital of the province of Seville, host of the Parliment of the Andalusian Autonomous Community, the provincial audience of Seville, the Council of Andalusia and home to 688,000 people (The province has 1,500,000).

Seville is one of the 7 provinces of Andalusia ( Sevilla, Huelva, Cadiz, Cordoba, Malaga, Jaén, Granada and Álmeria). The historical center of the city is the 6th largest in Europe with 3,9 square kilometers, just behind Rome's 14 kilometers.  Seville is the 3rd biggest city in Spainball by number of tourists, staying behind Madridball and Barcelonaball.

Seville also has the only port not located in the sea in all of Spain, the port of Seville is a busy commercial spot despite being 70 kilometers into the Guadalquivir river, the river that flows though the city and divides it between the Triana neighborhood and the rest of the city. Triana is a more typical Andalusian neighborhood, of low white houses while the rest of the city is full of modern tall buildings, some of them similar to the buildings in Paris's core.

    History

    2 ball and Tartessos

Seville, in ancient times, was concentrated around a small island. In these times Seville was a part of the ancient civilitation of Tartessos, one of first civilitations in Iberia. During this time the doñana region was all water, making the sea  reach Seville

    Phoenicians and Rome (SPQR)

The civiliation was overrun by the Phoenicians. In 206 BC during the Punic wars, roman troops invaded the city. A bit more up north the city of Itálica was funded creating a city of which only ruins remain today. Julius Cesar then created a city, the  Lulia Romula Hispalis Colony. By the year 100, the  Lulia Romula Hispalis Colony, now named Hispalis had a big wall around the city and a busy commercial port.

Decay of the roman empire and reach of Christianisim

Christianisim then quickly reached the city and Churches were built, mainly the city was just converted so they didn't need to workship phoenician gods.

    Middle ages

    Visigothic Kingdom

During the Visigothic Kingdom, as it was really common to move the court's location, the court was sometimes in Seville.

    Al-andalus and Vikings

    Al-andalus

During the Muslim occupartion (that started in 711) the city was host to a cora, one of the "provinces" or to be more accurate "determinated territorial units of the caliphate". Then it continued to climb up the herarquical latter in Al-andalus, first it became a "taif" (Taifa of Sevilleball) and then became Capital of the Almohad Caliphate.

    Vikings

In the year 844 the   Vikings got bored of their miserable snowy weather and decided to go on a raid party in Andalusia. So Seville was saked in the year 844 which made the  caliphate to make the city's defenses better so that   "tourists" couldn't come.

    Modern Era

After Christopher Columbus discovered the New World, Seville became a busy port and many Andalusians emigrated to the Americas, which is the reason why Latin American Spanish became different from Castillian.

    Flu outbreak

In 1648 a massive Bubonic Flu outbreak from Africa devastated Seville and as the city lost 46% of his population or 60,000 people the decade became more calm.

    Modern day seville

The city saw growth thanks to the arrival of the rail system and in 1992, when the Spanish Civil War was over and democracy had been stablished in Spain. the city was host to the International Exposition, which caused the Andalusian, Catalan (thanks to the 1992 olympics) and the spanish economy as a whole to boom.

     Flag of Seville

    The meaning

The flag of Sevilleball has a red background and the words "NO8DO", the 8 in the motto in the flag is not really a 8 but a "madeja" which sounds very close to "me deja" (it left me) in Spanish when reading it. So if you read the flag of Seville it says "No me ha dejado" (it hasn't left me).

    How to draw it

To draw the flag you first make the "8", make a 8 draw a line in the middle and go up drawing all the lines in the "8". Then write the "NO" parts and then fill the background with a red background. And now there you have! You drew the flag of Seville and probably it's really bad but who cares.
