The Second Syrian Republicball, officially the Syrian Republicball, was formed in 1950, succeeding the 
First Syrian Republicball. The Second Syrian Republicball ended in 1963 after being took over by the Ba'ath Party.
Despite some instability it had, it was relatively democratic and was pro-Western at first, but after 1957 it moved toward the 
Soviet Unionball, and later united with .png){kind=icon}
Republic of Egyptball in order to form the 
United Arab Republicball.
Syriaball left the United Arab Republicball in 1961 and the Second Republic was again restablished with a pro-Western government. However, in 1963, the government was couped by 
Ba'athists, and current Syriaball was born.
It is said that some factions of the FSA want to revive it today, which explains their flag.
