Duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gothaball was a 
German Confederate stateball. First, it governed its own territory but through alliances, it obtained the thrones of 
Belgiumball, 
UKball (its sovereign descends from the first duke), 
Bulgariaball, and 
Portugalball.
Here the British dynasty since 1901 has originated (but they changed their name to Windsor).
