San Joséball officially the Province of San Joséball is a province of Costa Ricaball located the Central Valley. Not mixing with capital. It is bordered by Alajuelaball to the North East , Herediaball to the North West, Cartagoball and Limónball to the West and Puntarenasball to the South , South East and East.It has most of the important towns, (including the capital), in fact out of the top 12 biggest cities in costa rica, San Joséball has 5. Making it the most important, most populated and richest of the Costa Rican provinces.

History

1561-1700

The earlest history of San Joséball was in 1561, where Spanish Empireball created the first town in San Jose lands, (called Garcimuñoz) though it was't until 1736 where (along side its capital San Joséball) they were created in the lands of the Central Valley, which was originally taken by the Huetar and the Maleku. Its capital San Joséball would become the national capital in 1823. After the Coffee trading that took place with the UKball , its economy began to grow.

1800-1960's

After its involvement in the Filibuster War, and the Colera pandemic that happened soon after, San Joséball 's economy began to grow. Which was expanded after the construction of the multiple railroads in 1857, (the Pacific railroad) , the end of The Costa Rican Civil war , and the elimination of the communist dictatorship. Later on in 1960 , the first supermarket in costa rican hsitory was made in the capital of San Jose, (called Masxmenos). Said company still exists today.

1970's onwards

Thanks to the end of the era of war, San jose enjoyed a bigger economic boom than ever before, thanks to companies investing in the land. This led ot multiple projects across the province such as, bridges, parks , highways, malls etc. Some projects are still not done to this day. This lad to a huge change of hands. As the lands and towns that were previously owned by rich people , were abandoned and led into an influx of people into San Jose towns. Leading to a lot of now famous companies starting. To this day this huge change of hands keep happing , with rich people moving out of the metropolis that is the capital and moving to seaside towns , (like Jaco) or towns on the outskirts of the central Valley (Like Santa Ana), leaving less fortunate people to take their place.
