Luang Prabangball is a province in Laosball. It is also spelt as Louangphabangball to reflect on the traditional Lao pronounciation. It was originally known as Muang Sua/Muang Sawa. It is located in northern Laosball, on the border with Vietnamball. It is well known for the capital of the province of the same name, which was the capital of the ancient Lao Kingdom, Kingdom of Lan Xangball. The capital is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is popular for its abundance of temples (wat).
