    History

It is normal to say it must have a great history or more stuff, but all that we really know is that the keyboard that was used for writing the name of this city never worked again the town is named after its surroundings, with the name translated saying "St. Mary's Church in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio near the red cave". If you want further history of it, go to the Wikipedia article. But basically people of Llanfairpwllball wanted more to attract more tourists (and to give the sign for the train station the longest cityball name in UKball) so they re-named the city to the name Llanfairpwllball has today. Its name means: "St Mary's church of the pool of the white hazels over against the pool of St Tysilio of the red caveball". Its original name was just Llanfair Pwllgwyngyllball before 'the event' in 1869.
