Lapu-Lapu Cityball is a city in Cebuball. As of 2020, it had a population of 497,604 people. The Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the second busiest airport in the Philippines, is located in this city.
It was formed by some Augustinians in 1730, being named Opon. Soon, it became a city in 1961. In that same year, it renamed itself to Lapu-Lapu City in honour of this hero.
In WW2, it was occupied by the evil sushi. Three years later, it was liberated by the Americans.
