The Hussite Wars were conflicts that were aimed to reformate the Catholic church (and partially avenge the death of Jan Hus and Jerome in 1415 and 1416, respectively). At first, the Hussites were victorious at every front, winning battle after battle after battle. But, as infighting and civil war broke out, they were eventually defeated by the Catholics and forced to surrender.
