Summary
When Turkey joined the EU (despite Bulgarian objection), Turkey said that they will hand of Cyprus if they merge with the southern state. After a "Yes" victory on the Scottish Referendum in September, Scotland will take over Anguilla, the British (later Scottish) Indian Ocean Territory, the Cayman Islands, Saint Helena and its long-lost colony in modern-day eastern Panama. Then Wales followed Scotland's footsteps the next year. By then, the Welsh government will soon control Ascension Island, Dhekelia, the Falkland Islands and SGSSI. When the six northern Irish counties rejoined the Republic of Ireland, the government will take control of the British (later Irish) Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, Tristan da Cunha and the Turks and Caicos Islands. With the English Government devolved in York, England had kept Bermuda, Montserrat and the Pitcairn Islands. The British Antarctic Territory has grew jealous of the partition of the UK. So the Welsh and Irish governments decide to divide the territory in half with the Welsh part in the east (latter known New Powys) and the Irish part in the west (latter known New Belfast). In January 2020, Akrotiri and Dhekelia have granted independence from Scottish and Welsh rule and thus, founding the Federal Republic of Akrotiri and the Democratic Republic of Dhekelia. In 2029, the last Annan Plan Referendum took place to unite the island. Greek Cypriots believed that they don't want to see a repeat of 2004. People on all parts of the island finally voted "Yes" and the United Cyprus Republic is established. However, the Swedish Government decided to annex the UCR on August 26, 2048. The day before, Egyptian, Cypriot, Sudanese and Swedish leaders signed the Treaty of Götland, ceding the UCR, the disputed Hala'ib Triangle and the unclaimed Bir Tawil to Sweden, marking the rebirth of the Swedish colonial empire.
