| Title |
Japan during and after WWII |
| Description |
In the last years of the war, Japan was pretty much fucked up. After their victory in Pearl Harbor and Wake Island in 1941, the Americans soon struck back and were able to retake most of the Pacific. Iwo Jima was one of the sites where one of the greatest marks in history is made: raising the Star-Spangled Banner on Mount Suribachi. After the Americans captured Okinawa in 1945, the Japanese still refused to surrender, but after catastrophe struck Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they're no longer following the ways of Imperialism, and are now friends of the U.S. |
