Duchy of Burgundyball was a French vassal, and he wanted to be independent. Then, it was defeated and became a provinceball.
History
Duchy of Burgundyball started when the lands of the former Kingdom of Burgundyball were split between West Franciaball and Middle Franciaball, Duchy of Burgundyball being the West Frankish side of Burgundyball.
It was originaly ruled by a branch of the Capetian Dynasty, and later a brach of the Valois Dynasty.
In the 14th Century until the 15th Century it started to Gain PUs over County of Burgundyball and much of Netherlandsball.
It later wanted to conquer Lorraineball, but was defeated by it and Switzerland, who killed the Burgundian duke in battle, and Franceball invaded Burgundyball and Picardyball, but the rest of its territory passed to the Habsburgs with the marriage of Mary of Burgundy to Maximilian I, future Holy Roman Emperor.
