Bastar Stateball was a kingdom in 
Indiaball and later a sizeable princely state under 
British Rajball. It was the 11th largest princely state by area.
History
It was founded in the early 14th century, supposedly by Annam Deo, a brother of the last ruler of the Kakatiya DynastyRawr, Prataparudra II. The state remained fairly independent until the rise of 
Maratharawr in 18th century. The state continuously quarreled with Jeypore Kingdomball over the region of Kotapadball, which was given over to Jeypore Kingdomball in 1863.
It was recognized by the 
East India Companyball as a state in the 19th century and later became part of the Central Provinces and Berar under the British Rajball, and acceded to the Union of Indiaball on 1 January 1948.
