Antares, also called Alpha Scorpiiball, is the 15th brightest star in the night sky. She has a diameter between 600 to 680 times greater than the Sun. She is designated as a class M1.5Iab-Ib and is the brightest, most massive, and most evolved member of the nearest OB association to Earthball.
